Zhenia Rzheznikova

Zhenia Rzheznikova is a multidisciplinary artist with a theatre background. Her artistic experience ranges from independent site-specific theatre performances to VR immersive installations.

Combining digital technologies with documentary research, she creates an experimental artistic language that engages the viewer in theatrical game.

Born in Moscow in 1994.

2012–2015 — Moscow Art Theatre School (stage design faculty)
2016–2021 — Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (director faculty, Dmitry Krymov Lab.)

2016–2022 — created theater and exhibition projects as a media artist, architect, and director in Russia: MMOMA, Central Manege, Solyanka Gallery, Pushkin Museum Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, Sovremennik Theater, and others.

2020 — created independent theatre project "Adventure Library."

The artwork Dead Souls is in the collection of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.

After the Russian invasion of Ukraine she emigrated. Lives in Germany.

2024 — present — Head of E-Media Lab, HfG am Main.
2025 — present — Head of Robotics Lab, HfG am Main.
